Ava’s Birthday Makeup

Ava’s Birthday Makeup

Applying a dark lip colour to beautiful Ava. I love to enhance porcelain skin with a darker lip colour, especially because Ava has such full lips naturally.

Ava’s Birthday Makeup

Ava’s Birthday Makeup

Applying finishing touches to the lip. Ava wanted light eyes with a dark and smoked out black only around the lash line and a much darker lip colour. We used a pink cream blush and a liquid highlighter to add colour and glow back into the skin

Copper eyes and red lip

Copper eyes and red lip

This client had incredible bright blue eyes so I used brick and copper tones on her eyes to enhance and further draw out that blue. The skin was full coverage and bronzed with a peach blush to go with our colour scheme. We finished with a bright red lip to draw extra attention to the blue in the eyes as the main feature

Smokey eyes and clean skin

Smokey eyes and clean skin

We used cool/silver tones on the eyes to compliment the clients complexion, hair and eye colour. We used a very soft pink on the lip to add colour but not draw attention away from the eyes.

Winged liner and full coverage skin

Winged liner and full coverage skin

Bronzer was applied lightly to the eye before the defined black wing to create a sharp and defined shape to the eye. False lashes were applied to add volume. Skin is full coverage and bronzed. We completed the look with a soft pink glossy lip to maintain focus on the eyes

Clean Skin for a photoshoot

Clean Skin for a photoshoot

This makeup on Orla was for a promotional photo shoot for New Dimensions Activewear. We decided to use a full coverage foundation to make the skin look very clean and simple to appear best on camera. We kept bronzer and blush very minimal while still allowing colour on the face. I lightly defined the eyebrows and added a small amount of mascara to the lashes

Soft smokey eyes and medium coverage base

Soft smokey eyes and medium coverage base

We applied a medium coverage foundation to allow her gorgeous natural freckles to peak through the makeup while still keeping the complexion even. I applied a soft brown all over the lid and deepened the outer corner slightly with a dark brown. We applied a stronger red toned lip to compliment her blue eyes and draw attention to her lip shape.

Soft Pink Debs Makeup

Soft Pink Debs Makeup

We used a soft pink on the cheeks to highlight her facial structure and tie in with the eyeshadow colour. I applied a liquid highlighter to the top of the cheekbones to create the appearance of a natural glow to the skin.

Soft Pink Debs Makeup

Short film continuity shot

Short film continuity shot

Finnuala Gillen as Desdemona on the set of “Thin Walls” directed by Ethan Dodd. This look is for a scene in which the character was meant to have a romantic appearance after a date. I decided to keep the makeup very minimal opting for only a light glow on the skin and some blemish concealing. I applied a small amount of mascara to the lashes and a brown lip liner and berry gloss on the lips.

Finnuala Gillen as Desdemona on the set of “Thin Walls” directed by Ethan Dodd. This makeup look was for the “big reveal” shot in the final scene of the short film and the first time the character has heavy makeup on. I applied a smokey brown eyeshadow to the lids and tightlined her waterline with black eyeliner to draw focus to her eyes and make them look visibly different from previous scenes. We went for a bold red lip to compliment the mostly black “night out” outfit that the character was wearing.

Glamorous night-out look

Glamorous night-out look

Half-cut crease eyeshadow and full coverage skin with a glossy warm nude lip. A full coverage foundation was applied with a generous application of blush and contour products to make the cheeks defined.

Glamorous night-out look

Glamorous night-out look

The focus of this look is the eyeshadow which has a lot of dimension and depth from building shades of brown. The cut crease makes the eye look larger and rounder with the addition of a black winged liner to add definition to the eye.

Glowy skin and fox eyeshadow

Glowy skin and fox eyeshadow

This eyeshadow look was created by placing a tape stencil on the corner of the eye while the eyeshadow is applied and then removing it before applying skin products. Progressively darker shades of brown eyeshadow were applied to the eye followed by multiple shades of gold to create dimension on the eye.

Glowy skin and fox eyeshadow

Glowy skin and fox eyeshadow

This full-coverage skin look is designed to make the skin appear flawless and very glowy. A glowy primer was applied before foundation and a generous application of highlighter was applied over top. A nude lip colour was added with a shiny gloss to keep the glowy tone.

Futuristic Glamour

Futuristic Glamour

This is an eyes closed shot of the makeup look. I used one of the liquid glitter shades that I used on the cheeks also on her eyelids. A thick black liner was added to the eye to frame. We opted not to add a false lash for this particular look. Her eyebrows were filled in with a small amount of brow powder just to add some dimension to them without drawing focus away from the rest of the elements of the look. As the model has a naturally very defined facial structure I felt it wasn’t necessary for the brows to appear very heavy.

Futuristic Glamour

Futuristic Glamour

This is a look I did on a model for an editorial style photo shoot. The photographer wanted an elegant evening look with elements of modernism. So I did a classic brown and gold eyeshadow and added extra black to deepen the eyes further so as not to lose focus on the eyes in the shoot. I swept some gold liquid glitter across the temples and added two thin black lines to the lip. The lipstick is a classic red matte which compliments the models skin tone and enhances her eye colour. We added a generous amount of rouge to her cheeks to compliment the lips and the nature themed background of these photos.

Deep purple smokey eyes

Deep purple smokey eyes

Eyes closed shot of the eyeshadow. A purple shimmer was applied in the middle of the lid to apply focus to the centre of the eyes. The eyeshadow was winged out and a black eyeliner was applied all the way from the inner corner and out to a wing. Black pencil liner was applied on the waterline and a dramatic false lash.

Deep purple smokey eyes

Deep purple smokey eyes

Full coverage foundation was applied over a glowy primer base to achieve a flawless and dewy complexion. The eyeshadow is very smoked out and progressively darker shades of purple were added to create the depth shown in the image. A neutral nude lipstick and gloss were applied to the lips.

Bronze and Gold Party Makeup

Bronze and Gold Party Makeup

We applied a fully coverage foundation over a glowy primer. The skin is bronzed generously and a champagne highlighter is applied to the cheeks. Brows are lightly filled in and clear brow gel applied. Look is completed with a glossy nude lip.

Bronze and Gold Party Makeup

This client supplied an image of the eye look they wanted which was recreated on her eyes to suit her eye shape. We added a thin winged liner and curled her lashes before applying mascara and false lashes. We finished the eye look with some highlighter on her inner corners.

Winged out eyeshadow with a nude lip

We used cool toned browns on the eyeshadow and a cool toned nude lipstick. The skin is full coverage with bronzer and a peach-toned blush.

Winged-out cool toned brown eyeshadow

We used matte brown tones on the eyes to create the winged shadow shape and added a small amount of shimmer across the lid. Then added mascara on the top lashes and a strip lash.

To compliment the brown and gold eyeshadow we added a matte red lip, lined with a deep chocolate brown lip liner to add depth and fullness to the lip.

Warm smokey brown eyeshadow with a green/gold lid

Warm smokey brown eyeshadow with a green/gold lid

To compliment this models hazel eye colour we used warm brown matte tones in the crease and a green/gold shift shimmer on the lids. Finished with a thin line of black gel eyeliner and a lash

Closed eye shot of purple smokey eye

The base of the eyeshadow is a pale purple shade, deepened with additional purple shades. We added a thin line of black liner on the lash line and a half eyelash.

Purple smokey eyes with a purple glitter lid and a glossy nude lip. I did a very bronzy skin with a small amount of peach blush and a gold/champagne highlighter to compliment the tan foundation.

Rainbow eyeshadow for pride (eyes closed)

Rainbow eyeshadow for pride (eyes closed)

We applied a false lash to the eyes to add volume to the lashes and extra shape and definition to the eyes look. As this model has hooded eyelids we applied the colour high up on her lids with small brushes. A very thin line of black liner was applied to the lash line to allow the false lashes to blend seamlessly into the real lashes.

Rainbow eyeshadow for pride month

Rainbow eyeshadow for pride month

Rainbow coloured eyeshadow with a champagne shimmer on the lid. Paired with a glossy peach lip and full coverage skin. This model requested an overdrawn Cupid’s bow to create a soft and full look on the lips.

70’s Makeup

70’s Makeup

Makeup for a 1970’s themed event. We used a peach blush to compliment the green shades of the eye makeup and a clear glossy lip to keep it simple and true to the source.

70’s Makeup (Eyes Closed)

70’s Makeup (Eyes Closed)

Makeup for a 1970’s themed event. We went with a very neutral brown in the crease with a pastel turquoise shade over the whole lid. A brown liner was used on the upper lash line, a blue on the lower lash line and a white in the waterline.

Eyes closed shot of full coverage skin and smokey liner

Eyes closed shot of full coverage skin and smokey liner

I chose a green/gold toned shimmer for the eyelids for a pop of colour and grunge and to compliment the eyes.

Full coverage skin and smokey liner

Full coverage skin and smokey liner

This makeup was for a night out, so we went with a full coverage skin with bronzer and peachy blush. We chose warm toned brown eyeshadow with a soft black liner to compliment the outfit. Finished the look with a simple gloss.

Purple smokey wings

Purple smokey wings

We went with a purple eyeshadow look to compliment the models hazel eye colour. I blended the eyeshadow into a wing shape to lift the face. We went with a peachy blush to compliment the eye makeup and a pink-nude lip colour. Finished the look with a pair of fluffy false lashes and a glowy highlighter.

Close up Halo Eye

Close up Halo Eye

This model has large, round eyes so we went with a halo eye to accentuate her eye shape. A warm golden-brown colour scheme was used to compliment the green eye colour of the model. We kept the brows natural and dark to add definition.

Flawless Skin and Halo eyeshadow

Flawless Skin and Halo eyeshadow

I went with a full coverage foundation to compliment the dark eye makeup. We did a brown and golden halo eye with a fluffy lash. I decided on a peach toned blush to compliment the eye makeup and a dark rust lipstick.

Clean skin, light eyeshadow

Clean skin, light eyeshadow

Eyes closed shot of this look. We kept the eyeshadow minimal. Focusing the small amount of brown shadow mainly on the outer corner and highlighting with a pink shimmer in the centre of the lid and a champagne shimmer on the inner lid. I added a very small amount of darker brown on the lash line to add definition but not to age the eyes of the young model.

Clean Skin and Glossy Lip

Clean Skin and Glossy Lip

As this model is younger with naturally clear skin, we decided to do a clean skin with a subtle glow and a peachy cheek. The eyes have a cool brown shade with a pink shimmer to bring out the blue in the eyes. Finished the look with a simple clear gloss to focus on the natural colour of the lips.

Pink Eyeshadow

Pink Eyeshadow

A deep pink smokey eye, concentrating the colour on the outer portion of the eyelid and keeping the inner lid light in colour. Complete with a dark nude lip.

About Me

I have been practicing makeup since 2016 when I was 12 years old and completely fell in love with it. I completed my diploma course in 2021 at 17 years old and worked occasionally as a freelance makeup artist.

In November of 2022 I started working in Sculpted by Aimee on Grafton street where I completed countless makeovers and makeup lessons daily. I gained crucial experience in this job working on every skin type, skin tone and texture there is. I learned on the job about working with any possible client and creating the look to suit them. As of September 2023 I am working as a beauty advisor for Clarins and Lancome, I have gained expansive knowledge of makeup and skincare through this roll which has helped me to understand my clients needs further.

Makeup has always been the path for me and I have fallen in love with it more and more every day that I have worked at it.

My Work

I love looking at a clients face and communicating with them to best figure out how to make the perfect makeup look that fits them and their features. I want to make every client feel comfortable in the makeup they are wearing whether that be heavy makeup or barely noticeable at all. I believe in using makeup to enhance the facial features and highlight what you love about your own face. Makeup is a very individual experience and I very much believe in not copy and pasting the same makeup look onto everyone. I like to get to know my client or my model and work with them to create the perfect look for them so they leave my makeup chair feeling confident and happy.

I have experience working on fashion and editorial photo shoots as well as being the hair and makeup designer on a student short film, which was an incredible experience.

I am available for bookings, freelance work and am always open to hearing about creative projects in need of a makeup artist. I’m based in North Dublin and can travel.
